Awkward Date
The other night I was out at a Restaurant and noticed a couple on the side of me that were on a date. The date seemed to going quite well for most of the night, until..the guy dropped an unacceptable BOMB!
The date conversation went from very casual to what if this turned into a relationship. The guy proceeded to tell this lady that he liked her very much and would love for her to come back to his place BUT (WARNING) his ex-girlfriend still lived with him. YEAH! The girl seemed appalled. Then he responded with “well, we haven’t slept together in a month”.
Advice to this girl: GET OUT NOW! This is a messy situation that has Drama written all over it! PS. I am sure the ex isn’t too happy about you either!
To the Guy: Are you CrAzY? Rule #1- you don’t talk about ex-girlfriends or SEX with ex-girlfriends on a new date. DUH! Rule #2.If you still have your ex-girlfriend living with you then obviously the relationship is not over. You should never expect a new girl you are interested in to accept the fact that you are still best friends with a current ex better yet letting her LIVE with you!
If you are truly looking for a real relationship that will lead to love then you must release all ties to old ones….including making the ex MOVE OUT!

I hope to be the world's duct tape: endlessly useful and great and bringing (and keeping) things together. I love surrounding myself with an assorted cast of characters and then mixing and matching them all into happy little unions. I put a premium on face-to-face interaction, meaning I prefer to meet you for coffee versus catching up on the phone or doing a weekend getaway instead of keeping in touch via Facebook. Don't get me wrong: the internet is a great thing, but its taking too much of our humanity from us. An example: you can't hear someone snort when they laugh via an email! This is why I structured my dating service, Eight at Eight Dinner Club, as a group dating concept. It's less awkward, more fun, and you really get to test the sparks in a way that Match.com or Eharmony can't replicate.
Ladies, Run don’t walk even if you are in your favourite pair of heels!
